It takes a village to raise a child … but what about you?
Founded by local parent and ABM trained Breastfeeding Peer Supporter, Mindful Breastfeeding Practitioner and Mental Health First Aider, Emily Harper, It Takes A Village’s pilot project launched in Crystal Palace Park during Maternal Mental Health week in May 2021. A wellbeing meet up group with mindful infant feeding support for mums and their babies, our weekly sessions continue to be free to attend thanks to initial seed funding from Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich MIND, support from a Jo Jo Maman Bebe Helping Hands grant, and kind donations from those who attend.
Join our village, and come feel supported with other local mum, build your breast/chest/bottle feeding confidence with help from our resident IBCLC, and explore a calm, mindful relationship with your baby, and yourself. Connect, share, learn, vent, laugh and sleep (ok, we can’t promise you that last one, sorry!)
Our Summer sessions are a BYO picnic rug meet ups in the park, located in the fenced enclosure next to the Brown & Green Life cafe and children’s playground. From Autumn through to Spring we are take our meet-ups indoors to St Hugh’s Community Centre, less than 10 minutes walk from the park and 3 mins walk from Anerley station. Sessions are on every Tuesday, and run from 10.15 -11.45am.
Spaces are limited so book your free spot via Happity today. We can’t wait to meet you!
